Integrity And Raw Data Logs
The best way to CYA (Cover Your Analysis) is via Raw Data Logs in your emissions test reports, which are required by the EPA and State Agencies (i.e., 40 CFR Part 60, Subpart A §60.8(f)(v), of which Subpart JJJJ is applicable, and Texas Administrative Code 30 Chapter 117 Rule §117.8010 (7)(B)). Raw Data Logs are helpful for agency report reviewers to compare date and time stamps to collected data from an analyzer’s Data Acquisition System (DAS). Reports without Raw Data Logs are incomplete.
Date and Time Stamps should be clearly identified along with target analytes, diluents, sample moisture content, and other parameters such as analyzer pressure (atm) and temperature (degrees Celsius).
Process changes should also be clearly labeled which: assists report reviewers to identify and confirm that all data quality objectives are being followed per the applicable test methods. All corresponding spectrum lab file numbers are identified and helpful for manual analysis "data validation".
Doing things with integrity is oftentimes tedious and difficult. However, BAIR believes that it’s necessary to better produce quality emissions testing and ensure that not only our clients are better protected, but also the environment as a whole.
At BAIR we are seeking to transform and evolve the world of emissions testing to ensure a cleaner solution that you not only have to do once, but do RIGHT. We supply next level full service testing for natural gas emissions and air particulates. Whether it's a compressor engine, turbine, generator, industrial heater or boiler, thermal oxidizer, or any other source that combusts natural gas, BAIR’s experienced analytical team is prepared to assist you tune your source, gather data for engineering studies, and/or perform testing to comply with state or federal regulations with the highest standards towards quality assurance.
